Music at I Can Teach.co.uk

A stimulating range of music will energise and feed the mind. The brain needs to warm up in the same way muscles do. It relies on oxygen and glucose primarily. The tempo, tone and volume of the music are all important and some of the suggested music can be used for activities and presentations that are dynamic. Again, these are only suggestions. You are encouraged to try as many different pieces as possible.

When and where to use the music on I Can Teach.co.uk

Any of these can be used to stimulate the brain into activity. These are good for starter activities, for the early morning and before and after lunch. Volume is a key component to controlling the atmosphere and loud is good. For sudden impact turn the volume right down and use the opportunity to make your objectives clear.

Fade the volume down and it increases your level of control. Don’t forget that you control the music. The brain automatically latches on to recognisable patterns in music and will self-regulate the body’s own volume in order to listen to it.
