About I Can Teach.co.uk

I can teach.co.uk is not about reinventing the wheel. It is about making your life in education a little easier, whether you are a teacher, a parent or a student.

All the links and teaching resources have been recommended by teachers, parents and students. They have been carefully selected, tested and often used in a classroom situation or at home for advice, revision and coaching sessions.

The Philosophy

The world of education is an exciting place. Learning is not just something we do at school. We are learning all the time. We often go into the future looking backwards at all the things we have learned. Technology enables us to interact with learning and be in control of how we use it. The traditional role of the teacher in front of a class is changing and it is exciting and challenging.

This site is free to use. It will provide you with an easy to use doorway to the best of education on the internet. It will provide music and listings that will enhance the learning environment whether that is in the classroom or at home. The site is constantly being updated with new links. The links have been tried and tested by professionals, parents and students. They come highly recommended. So sit back, put some music on, have a browse and enjoy...

Marcus Cherrill

Marcus Cherrill has been teaching for 16 years in a number of different educational settings with a variety of experiences, including special schools. Until recently, he was Director of Learning at a thriving and successful school in East Sussex, UK and has taught a number of different subjects including Science, Mathematics, French and Italian, Religious Studies, PSCHE and ICT. He currently teaches part time in the classroom and part time online.

He has a degree in Applied Biology and a PGCE from the University of Greenwich. He has completed the NCSL Leading from the Middle programme and has participated in the British Council supported TIPD study visits to Europe. He is married to Emma, an experienced PE teacher.

Consultant - Ben Cherrill

With 22 years experience in the music industry, Ben offers a valuable perspective on the wealth of multimedia opportunities currently online. He has co-developed a series of highly successful compilation albums under the ‘Cafe del Mar’ title and produced the soundtrack for the hit movie ‘It’s all gone Pete Tong.’ He currently runs his own creative music agency.

Consultant - Kitty Bolton

Kitty acts as a freelance consultant on our music and video content and she provides a distinct and unique viewpoint. She is currently studying music, psychology, English Literature and history
